Ning to Jamroom migration and SEO

01/28/15 01:43:47AM, by jamesh

I am investigating the feasibility of shifting from Ning to Jamroom, in fact the Jamroom team are working on my import currently. So far so good, one major issue I must address is SEO, my 5 year established Ning site is very well indexed by the major search engines and that must continue for this migration to be successful. How do I go about ensuring that my search traffic remains intact following a migration of this nature? Have you migrated to Jamroom already? What would you do differently?

Jamroom - in the flesh and blood

10/06/16 08:58:12AM, by Riggster

Hi there! Firstly - please let me introduce myself - I'm Mark and I work alongside SteveX (who has brilliantly developed our workbook installation of Jamroom at our University!). He's opened my eyes to how good the platform is - and we're hoping to make a virtue of its effectiveness in delivering our open education resources... ...which brings me onto my second point (well, question really): does anyone have experience of innovative ways of demoing Jamroom in a training environment?...

Simple HTML and CSS usage in Jamroom

11/05/14 12:24:08PM, by Isleander

I've been creating simple websites using Dreamweaver (using HTML and CSS) for sometime, and am currently developing such @ http://regal-network.com/ncn I have recently set up a Jamroom site which I am now using for member profiles, and have linked this to the HTML site (above). Of course I would like to have these two integrated into a Jamroom site and I am wondering if it's at all possible without loosing the freedom that HTML and CSS offer in website creation (as in the example given)....

"Jamroom Lists" -- and access to the JR Glossary

03/08/15 06:23:57AM, by researchcooperative

While scoping features of the Site Builder thingy I came across this item: "The Site Builder - Construction Kit module lets you create custom Jamroom Lists (like jrCore_list) inside of a widget." That's a fine feature I am sure, but since I never had a jrCore_List, I certainly do not know what a Jamroom List might be. Is it something I will want to use or buy? For every page on which JR-specific or other special terms are explained in the Glossary, it would be nice to have a standard...

11/28/15 11:48:57AM, by jimmyk

I'm in the process of getting JR working with NGINX and Centmin Mod (LEMP STACK). I expect the process shouldn't be that difficult. I created a cross thread on the Centmin Mod forum. https://community.centminmod.com/threads/jamroom.5051/ I will post and update the vhost file I create on both sites.
